RANDY ABRAHAMS, CEO/EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN Mr. Abrahams serves as the President and CEO of RedRidge Finance Group, defining the strategic direction for the company while directing the overall day-to-day operations. Mr. Abrahams has nearly 30 years of lending experience. He began his career at National Acceptance Corporation, a subsidiary of Walter E. Heller and Company, a nationally recognized commercial finance company.
He later joined Fremont Financial where he spent over 10 years. After leaving as National Marketing Manager at Fremont, he joined LaSalle National Bank/ABN-AMRO in Chicago, Illinois. In 1997, Mr. Abrahams joined Finova Capital Corporation’s newly formed Healthcare Finance Group. Mr. Abrahams was later promoted to Group Head and managed the $1.2 billion healthcare portfolio. The group was later purchased by Berkadia, LLC, a joint venture between Berkshire Hathaway and Leucadia National Corporation. Mr. Abrahams continued to successfully manage the division on their behalf.
Most recently, Mr. Abrahams founded and served as President/CEO of Bridge Finance Group, an independent commercial finance company. In just under five years, Bridge became a respected and influential member of the finance community, with hundreds of millions in funds managed and partner relationships in a variety of specialized industries.
Mr. Abrahams has served the Commercial Finance Association in various officer positions in the Midwest and nationally on the Education Committee. He currently serves as a director of the CFA and has served on the executive committee of the Commercial Finance Association.
Additionally, he has presented at national healthcare conferences, banks and bondholder meetings, and equity investor gatherings throughout his career. Mr. Abrahams has served on the Board of Directors at Children’s Memorial Hospital Foundation in Chicago, Independent Graphic Services, Inc., Ecolite USA, Inc., RFG Fund I LLC, and Excel Finance Co.
BRETT CRABTREE, MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mr. Crabtree has over 20 years of commercial lending experience, specializing in niche businesses and lending products. Crabtree is responsible for business development efforts that targets middle-market companies that operate in a variety of sectors. Previously he has opened the west coast offices for IBJ Whitehall and Bridge Finance Group. Mr. Crabtree also held positions at Finova Capital’s Healthcare Finance Group, Comerica Bank and Marsh’s Private Equity M&A Group. Mr. Crabtree received his B.S. in Economics from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics, and his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.
BRUCE SIM, SENIOR DIRECTOR
Bruce Sim joins ExWorks Capital, LLC with over 25 years international lending, trade finance, and cross border lending experience. Bruce has lived and worked in Canada (TD Bank); Singapore (GE); and the Caribbean (Trinidad & Tobago, with Royal Bank of Canada) and has held business development and senior management roles in the US with Wells Fargo, FINOVA Capital and GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group. Bruce was most recently Head of Business Development with an international factoring, supply chain, and asset based lending firm with operations in the US, Canada, and the UK.
Bruce will be based in Miami, FL, developing new business for the firm in the US, with an added focus on Canada, Caribbean, and UK markets.
BRIAN RUSH, SENIOR UNDERWRITER
Mr. Rush has 11 years of transactional accounting and auditing experience. His commercial finance experience includes due diligence on a variety of lending products such as asset based loans and securitizations, as well as QOE work related to strategic acquisitions.
Before joining RedRidge, Mr. Rush was a Senior Consultant in the lender services group at FTI Consulting where he led engagement teams in the origination and due diligence of asset based loans and securitizations in a wide variety of industries including automotive, healthcare, energy, retail and packaged goods.
Prior to FTI, Brian spent over four years with PwC in their Assurance and Business Advisory Services practice. While at PwC he worked on some of the company’s largest and most important audits including a multi-year restatement at Freddie Mac and the bankruptcy and subsequent sale of Adelphia Communications.
Brian has adapted to many forms of senior secured lending products, as well as our Quality of Earnings team. Brian has a strong attention to detail and is quite often the Examiner of Choice for many of our clients. Brian also leads multi-man teams in both QOE and ABL.
Mr. Rush holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame. He is a registered CPA in Illinois.
ANDY HALL, CHIEF CREDIT OFFICER
Mr. Hall co-heads RFG’s direct lending division and brings over 20 years of commercial lending experience. His background includes portfolio management, loan structuring, transaction closings and loan workouts (including bankruptcies and liquidations). Mr. Hall recently served as a Director of a similar finance company, where his duties included performing initial screens, closing new transactions, underwriting, document negotiation and managing an existing portfolio.
Prior to his most recent position, Mr. Hall spent three years with JP Morgan Chase, where he was responsible for a diversified portfolio of loans with credit facilities in excess of $300 million and $200 million in loans outstanding.
Prior to J.P Morgan Chase, Mr. Hall was with Wells Fargo, where he managed a team of account executives, maintaining a portfolio with total outstanding of $250 million. Prior to Wells Fargo, Mr. Hall worked at Fremont Financial Corporation in various capacities, including as auditor, account executive, syndications specialist, team leader and ultimately Western Region Credit Manager. In this position, Mr. Hall managed a staff of eight account executives and three team leaders with an average of 120 accounts and outstanding of $250 million.
RAVI SINGH, V.P. LOGISTICS
Mr. Singh’s 34 years of logistics experience includes working on multimillion dollar programs involving procurement and transportation to worldwide destinations. He has worked extensively with the USDA and the USAID on humanitarian and economic assistance programs. In the field of international transportation he has worked as the Vice President of a Charter Brokerage firm for ocean going vessels. Mr. Singh completed his BA in Economics in 1969 at Delhi University, and received an MBA in 1974 from The Graduate School of Management, University of Dallas, Irving, Texas.
ROB RICHARDSON, SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER
Mr. Richardson has over 20 years of commercial lending and banking experience. His background includes portfolio management, loan structuring, transaction closings and loan workouts (including bankruptcies and liquidations). Mr. Richardson recently served as a Senior Asset Manager with PNC Bank’s Assets Resolution Team managing a portfolio of classified assets. Prior to his position at PNC Bank, Mr. Richardson spent eight years with GMAC Commercial Finance, where he was responsible for managing a diversified portfolio of loans with credit facilities ranging from $20 million to $300 million. Prior to working for GMAC Commercial Finance, Mr. Richardson worked at Finova Capital Corporation, Fleet Business Credit Corporation and The CIT Group, where he held various positions ranging from portfolio management to underwriting and field examiner. Mr. Richardson received his under graduate degree from Purdue University and his Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
MATT STANLEY, MANAGING DIRECTOR – DIRECT ORIGINATION
Mr. Stanley is a managing director and original member of RedRidge Finance Group and co-heads the direct lending division at RedRidge. Mr. Stanley focuses on origination, analysis and underwriting of RFG’s various lending products. He has over 27 years of experience in the commercial finance and banking industry, primarily focusing on the middle market.
Before RedRidge, Mr. Stanley was a Director at Bridge Finance Group. His primary responsibilities included sourcing, analyzing and negotiation of new transactions. He successfully expanded the ‘Bridge Brand’ across the Midwest and Great Lakes region. Prior to joining Bridge, he was employed at GMAC Commercial Finance where he held positions as marketing manager and business development officer. Mr. Stanley also worked at Fremont Financial Corporation and The National Bank of Detroit in business development.
Mr. Stanley is a 1983 graduate of The Colorado College from which he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science. He is a current member of The Commercial Finance Association (CFA) and is a past President of the CFA Midwest Chapter, in addition to activity in various other professional and charitable organizations.
JOZSEF SZAMOSFALVI, DIRECTOR
Mr. Szamosfalvi has specialized in emerging market project and structured finance underwriting and risk mitigation with a focus on infrastructure, financial and energy sector projects. He has provided fair market value analysis and led or advised on mergers and acquisition projects in the manufacturing, and biofuels industries in the US and abroad (Japan, Malaysia, among others). He has served as acting CFO for several portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Szamosfalvi has worked on venture capital and private equity structuring and modeling, being in charge of Summit Venture’s Community Development and Commercialization Venture Capital program. He has worked for the United Nations (IAEA) in Vienna, developing an automated efficiency analysis system decision-making processes for the Division of Planning, Co-ordination and Evaluation. A graduate of Brigham Young University (magna cum laude) with a double major in Economics and International Politics, Mr. Szamosfalvi has been an adjunct instructor at Georgetown University School of Business. He is CFA candidate, and a member the New York Society of Security Analysts. He contributed to several business publications, including Beard & Thomas’ Trade Finance Handbook (Thomson 2006).
